As Policy Lead for Cooperation Canada, Carelle Mang-Benza works at the interface of policy and research, advocating for greater effectiveness in the international development and humanitarian sector.  She is in a position to make good use of the transferrable skills gained through her PhD journey at the University of Western Ontario where her research examined the energy transition through the lens of justice and relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in Canada. Carelle joined Geography with a B.A.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and substantial international project and policy experience gained at the United Nations and US State Department.
